Christine Larson

Midwife

Christine Larson, CPM, is a Licensed Direct Entry Midwife that has been a birthworker in Utah since 2011. She has worked as a birth doula, placenta encapsulation specialist, birth assistant and midwife.

Christine is a second generation midwife, trained by her own mother, Cathy, who has been a beloved midwife in Utah for the past 20+ years. Christine graduated from the Midwives College of Utah. She worked as a Primary midwife at Pearl Midwifery as well as Two Leaves Midwifery birth center, before starting her own practice in 2018. Christine serves within the Salt Lake, Utah, Summit, Tooele Counties and surrounding areas.

Christine is gentle and loving. She is a steady, intuitive, solid midwife who practices with humility, integrity, and a passion for undisturbed birth and autonomy. Her relationships with her clients tend to extend far beyond 6 weeks postpartum and into long-lasting friendships.

Christine lives in Stansbury, Utah with her husband, Zach, and their three daughters, Olive Elisabeth, Ruby Juniper and Rosemary Moon. Each of her daughters were born peacefully at home. When she’s not attending births, you can find her out on hikes with her family, curating elaborate hangouts with her friends, or baking vegan treats in her kitchen. She finds joy in the quiet, simple moments like going on walks with her toddler or enjoying a cup of coffee.

Assistant Midwife

Elizabeth Curtis Media

Adrien is an assistant midwife and senior student midwife at the Midwives College of Utah. She has been a midwifery student, birthworker and trained doula for the past 3 years. She also has a background in nursing and EMT training. Before becoming a birth assistant, Adrien worked as a caregiver for 6 years throughout college.

Somewhere along the way, Adrien discovered the magic of birth and pregnancy and felt a calling to work in that field. After shadowing in the labor and delivery unit, she realized her true passion for caring for birthing people. While attending school in Utah, Adrien has been drawn to community midwifery and home birth.

Adrien grew up hiking in Colorado and visits her family there often. After highschool, she studied in Massachusetts and graduated in Kansas before moving to Salt Lake City to attend midwifery school. She lives downtown with her cat, Mr.Peaches, and enjoys exploring the canyons and practicing yoga.

Adrien is solid gold. She has worked as an assistant midwife at Olive Branch Midwifery for the past 2 years. She is an integral part of our team and has brought so much warmth, love, and joy to this practice. She has a calm, gentle presence in the birth space. She truly makes you feel held and loved during such a vulnerable process and her belief and trust in birth is empowering to all those who are lucky to be cared for by her.

What people are saying:

"Christine is the best. She listens to you and holds so much space for you. You feel so well cared for with her. She really knows her stuff. I never doubted her for a second. She’s funny and cool and I’m forever grateful I was able to have her as my midwife. It was the best decision I ever made." -Madison

"From the moment I met Christine, I knew I wanted her to be my midwife. She is calming, knowledgable, and everything I could have asked for in a friend and midwife. She’s been with me for both of my baby’s home births. I am forever grateful to have met her and I’m beyond thankful for my beautiful birth experiences I’ve had with her." - Kiana

I loved my time with Christine and her team. We were always laughing and having a good time during our visits and I truly loved that. She was never rushed, always went above and beyond and even made a few house calls in the early stages of my pregnancy when I was extremely sick. I chose home birth because I wanted something more intimate and personal, and I got exactly that and more. I gained a life long friend in the process. Christine is magic, wise beyond her years, and a gentle soul. I’m thankful our paths crossed and that I chose her as my midwife.” - Kristen

It’s hard for me to think of where to start with Christine. She has such a nurturing energy to her and I felt cared for and loved at every appointment. When it came to birth, she was a gentle guide throughout the entire process. I could not ask for a better midwife! If I have another baby, she is the ONLY one I would want by my side.” - Alesya

Adrien makes you feel like a piece of art. I’ve been trying to pin down the feeling she gave me. The way she marvels at birth makes you feel worthy of being marveled at, and that’s a nice feeling! I loved having her at my birth.” - Gloria
